A few days back when I approached my friend living in a village close to the national high-way 30, I spotted cows, buffaloes, goat, dogs roaming around unnoticed along the national highway. Later, during my stay at the capital city of Chhattisgarh, there were plenty of cows found straying.
Cow slaughter is a hot-button issue in India where even rumours of cows being transported can lead to unrest among the citizen.
When it comes to Uttar Pradesh, squads of “cow protection” vigilantes are known to roam highways inspecting livestock trucks for any trace of the animal.
The nation seems to be unrest over the issue and its “vigilante” made it blow out of proportion.
I suggest such group or activists to visit Chhattisgarh especially district Bastar once for a while to witness the actual condition the animal. The cow is found roaming around the city unclaimed and eating whatever it can catch hold of irrespective of the fact that the food stuff is harmful lead them to disastrous end.
Most of the animals (especially cows and buffalos ) are run over by speeding vehicles mercilessly. My question to such vigilante group is that why can’t such killing of the sacred animals create unrest to them or prompt them to launch a movement to protect them from being killed. They also need to be taken care of from being killed or unnoticed.
Why don’t such group come and say not to kill stray animals without rhyme or reason .
